Plako receives official visit

Plako has received the Mayor of Póvoa de Lanhoso, Manuel Baptista, as well as several members of the city council.

On a Business Incubator, in Ferreiros, since the begining of 2011, Plako has organized a tour of the facilities, within the municipality's celebrations.

Besides the tour, there was also an opportunity to listen to Moisés Campos, Plako's Managing Partner, that stressed the importance of the incubator for the company, and encouraging other companies to do the same. A strong environmental message was inseparable from the whole speech, proving that technological companies are privileged in terms of sustainability possibilities. Using Plako as an example, Moisés Campos quoted a chinese saying "The tallest of the towers begins on the floor. And Plako was no different. We work on the company's foundations throughout the years and, with its evolution, came a growing concern with the environment and nature".

The Mayor also stressed the crucial part that recovering deactivated schools has had for the municipality, since it provided a chance to transform spaces that can now serve the community. "Besides the Ferreiros' school, we have been recovering other schools for other projects, such as
headquarters of associations."

According to the city council, "in 2010, Póvoa de Lanhoso has first celebrated the Council's day on this date. On the 25th September 1292, the King D. Dinis has recognized to Lanhoso a special status, through a royal charter, allowing the territory to gain the desired autonomy. This political and administrative status gave Lanhoso's inhabitants rights and priviledges that were denied for a long time. That's why that moment represents the "birth" of the Council".

Ferreiros' Business Incubator will soon receive another company, on the IT area.
